Meant Keith in late 1979 (Had a girlfriend that was part of his student class on Radio & TV at PCC)..He really ran a great program for many, many years. You think of all the broadcasters – radio – TV that got into the business because of his encouragement and training it has to be in the 1000’s of the years.

You had more then luck my friend – Very Talented – Both you and Kent – to have an extremely long career in broadcasting – has to be one of if not the industry record – Congratulations and best of luck to you!

notwesternele — To each his own. It’s nice that low power stations – Non Profits – have an opportunity in the market place to serve certain audiences. And it’s fun for us volunteers too!

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t get all these filings, with that being said, all these Petitions to Re-consider – how many times can the big guys do this – I thought I heard the number was 2 times (twice) and that was it. With small non-profits having to fight the big radio conglomerates, it won’t take to much to drain them of what little money they make to pay the light bill Via Attorney Fees… I love Attorney’s, but they are expensive. The FCC should have some type of low cost appeal process…

I just want to publically thank you Andy – for your advice you have given us in our pursuit to keep our LP station broadcasting on it’s frequency 95.1 unencumbered… Your expertise with this has been great. We are doing everything we can with letters from listeners in those areas affected. Again, I’m sure I speak for all of us with KISN-LP.. Thank You Thank Thank You…!!!

Absolutely Dan..For those who have not seen it I won’t give it away – But KGW’s Pete Schulberg (With Kathy Smith) in what had to one of the BEST questions to US Attorney Charles Turner on the last show…It was an outstanding show. I personally dealt with them (we provided them all their accounting forms..All 6 of the Corporations accounts on the Bank of Greece).. didn’t realize how nuts they were until food poisonings in The Dalles…we were lucky it didn’t turn into another Jim Jones thing…

Sounds like a Pre-Package Bankruptcy – Creditors/owners/bond holders all have their ducks lined up so no surprises in court…I am guessing the $10 Billion will swap for equity – the big questions will they get more than 50% control – thats the big question…guessing no inside info from me…

Andy… I agree with you on that one. Was involved in a Leverage buyout many years ago (Remember Michael Milkin?)The fact that it was made public – their 10-Q or 10-K – can’t remember which – it’s like a slow run on the bank – The bond holders will take the hit – debt for equity and liquidation of every asset they have – At least that’s what ours was – They even sold desks – which were rented back…

On the other hand, it will be a great opportunity for others to get some great deals on stations…(not me..no money)..but will be interesting to see how it plays out..Broadcasting is still a great business…great cash flow…unless you are a bond holder, sorry to say.. The day of financial reckoning is coming for them – no doubt about it – you can only kick the can down the road so far, before you lose it in a hole….
