“Americans are angry about Barrycare, which is now at an abysmal low for popularity.”

    O’bummer!

About time a Democrat got caught up a bit of morality hypocrisy. It’s been a while since that happened. Molach, can you remember when this Bean fellow did that? Googling came up with nothing.

“I do notice the silence afterword. We’ve seen it a few times now.”

Complete silence, as in he can’t be bothered with posting unless he’s getting paid. This board may very well be site #17 out of 25 a day he must hit to collect $75 a week.

“I remain convinced being in a home would have shortened their lives and the quality could not even compare.”

Keep in mind, though, people with dementia can be violent, demanding, aggravating, and dangerous to them selves and others who live with them.

Family caregivers get burned out and turn against the very people they love. Families get wrecked, careers ruined — you name it.

    There’s no simple answer.

Amus: I am now convinced that Herb is being compensated as a troll.

Agreed. Maybe even underwritten by the Koch bros.

We’re not on any bubble now, so I’d say residential real estate is still a good investment at this time. And location matters — the cheapest house on an expensive block being the key.

The house must be habitable so you can draw income on that if you’re not going to actually live in it yourself.

But if you’re not up to picking up a hammer or shovel, scratch real estate off your list. The math doesn’t work if you have to pay people to do your shovel lifting.

Bare land and commercial real estate investment is best left to those already rolling in dough.

F&B sez: “I think we could keep the system more honest if those who were dependent upon the government were not permitted to vote.”

I wonder what your Pope would say about that? He’ll take away your wafer privileges at the very least.
