The stock HD receiver in my 2014 Outback has never been able to stay locked on 1330 for longer than a second or two, even when close to their site. At the same time, the analog sounds relatively fine and strong.

Is it possibe the OP is talking about cranked up PPM encoding? Being in Bend, I can’t tune in to Kink right now, but I know that when we drive to Portland and listen to Live 95.5, it sounds super horrible and very metallic sounding. Of course if this is a constant noise or squeeling, the PPM encoder is probably not the issue.
Wow! I built many computers from parts I bought at ENU. Sad to see it go.
We live in SE Bend and can occasionally get KXL on my Grundig G5 portable. Sometimes I drive out to China Hat (SE of us a few miles) and the elevation is a little higher. With the Grundig, I can regularly receive KXL. KLOO also comes in fairly consistently at the house.
I live in Bend and as of my drive to work this morning, they were not on the air. I’ll check on my way home to see if that has changed. I figured that we should have no problem receiving them as we can receive KWSO; they transmit from the same location, I believe.
No, there are none at this time. The only HD stations we have are KLBR (HD is occasionally turned off) and KWSO out of Warm Springs, which is usually not receivable in HD in Bend.
I live in Bend, but am visiting my sister in Cornelius. Able to (barely) receive KISN-LP on a Grundig G5 radio in certain spots in the house with the antenna fully extended vertically.
Steve Naganuma –
I’ve always wondered if you have any pictures of the Q105 studios. If so, are you able to post some or link to them? I became a huge fan of the station in ’88 and always wondered what it looked like up there in those studios.
You gave me a reason to finally re-create my user on this new board! Being a web developer, I can help with that. Here’s a much cleaner, searchable interface for that same exact data: http://stations.dccommtech.net/
Dan: if this in any way violates the TOS of this board, please feel free to remove this message and let me know – thanks!
