Why wouldn’t they?
Psh… Must be something more serious. KOOR didn’t play ANY call letters (or ID) for YEARS!!!!!!!! However that changed recently…
The county that put a man on the moon can’t make a functional piece of equipment. We don’t have many active alerts here but some other states could really use a reliable system.
Now I am curious what they did in Seattle. Can you share the story?

The history behind Russian Radio in PDX is not that simple. But it’s not a conspiracy neither. Just take my word for that. If you go to Bustos and pay him, he’ll sell you airtime tooMarch 15, 2018 at 12:11 am in reply to: LPFM Portland Metro Review: Licensed-CP's-Applications #35464
Bustos replies to KXRWs petition. It would have been much easier for them if they would have filed the opposition within 30 days. I told them about the translator app right away but I am not sure what they waited for… But I think they still have a very good chance at it (with a good attorney)
It is a long shot but I will give it a try anyway!
Broadcasters, engineers, ham operators, pirates, hobbyists, does anyone have a spare “1-Bay Nicom BKG1/P (Slant45)” antenna that I could borrow for a few days or so? I am very interested in trying it out and comparing it with our current one at the same height as I hear that the Slant 45 might perform better in our situation.
If that will be the case we would of course buy one but I would like to try it first and see if that is really the case.
Looks like is. Interesting.
Is this the translator for KOOR?
With such a big number of Russian language stations in one market, it’s hard to gain enough finacial support to run one, especially if you are a LPFM (aka non commercial & limited coverage) and don’t have a lot of radio knowledge how to run a station. I am guessing they are relying on listeners support. And since the Russian community didn’t show the love, they made the switch in hopes to find it somewhere else. Here is a screenshot from their website.
That’s interesting… I wonder if anything else is included in the price tag besides the license…
100.7 SLAVIC COMMUNITY CENTER OF NW, INC
100.7 JEHOVAH JIREH INTERNATIONAL MISSION (time share)
100.7 SLAVIC COMMUNITY CENTER OF NW, INC – Is playing locally originated programming. Music / news / and some DJ talks. However, 100.7 JEHOVAH JIREH INTERNATIONAL MISSION (time share) is mostly religious music with occasional sermons which I have a very hard time believing that they are produced locally.
Appreciate for the info
