Haven’t finished reading it Craig, as I have to go back to bed before work tonight, but enjoy it so far! Will continue more when I get a break.

Thanks for the history lesson! Cheers.

exradiodude: Robin Mitchell challenged KKNU a while back, and before that Cat Country. Worked there a whole three days after my Clear Channel KRKT departure, but that was because Marathon bought Cat Country and no hires were allowed.

I thought Mitchell did a great job and actually wanted to work for him, but don’t know the end of what all happened there as I moved out of state for a job.

Yeah, someone could come in and tackle KKNU, but you can’t stick to the old cookie cutter country. It would be a lot of work, but it’s possible. I only say that because I’ve won against other stations that I was told would be tough to beat.

It’s all in how you play the game, and use your “common” sense. Kind of like being an artist, you either don’t know how to paint, but others think you do, or you DO know how to paint, but the right people haven’t noticed yet. 🙂

I would bet to keep an eye on KKNU in the coming year. Everytime things get comfortable for a station, somebody else kicks in.

Both of these posted by Bend Radio Group. The first one has been reposted. From what my close source said, a person was offered the gig, but turned it down.

I also applied, but honestly, I don’t think I will be offered anytthing there.

The second ad I don’t know much about, but Mike (PD) was great to work with when I was there in 2002 – 2003.

    Good luck to ALL!

Yes, Scott Hoffman did a great job with Hot 102.9. Unfortunately, the signal was awful and not the greatest when is came to coverage. Heck, even on remotes, you had to have a decent radio to hear what you were doing going into breaks. Odds are they couldn’t resist the deal.

Could also be near Klamath Falls, as OIT is down there. I think there is also a pocket university near Pendleton. Who knows for sure. 🙂

Yeah, I heard this one was coming a while back, but couldn’t discuss it. I worked for/with the new PD many years ago for nearly six months. Remember, if you can’t say anything nice about someone, then don’t say anything at all.

I wish the very long term staff, great clients and strong listeners positive reinforcement in the coming months.

    God Bless.

Rumor has it that Program Director Becky Brenner is out at KMPS in Seattle. Has anyone seen any information on this? Supposedly all went down this afternoon.

    Hey, Gang:

Here is the latest from a previous part time stomping ground. Always loved the studio and location as it was easy to hit off the freeway. If you know of anyone, I would suggest sending off a package.

    Cheers!

I know the market size is listed wrong, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen that done in any ratings service.

Could be KRAT (97.7 FM, “97.7 The Rat”) in Altamont, Oregon (Klamath Falls area). It’s been silent for a while and is up for sale. At least that’s what I was told last week while in town.
