Have KXXO 96.1 FM in Olympia start their construction on relocating from Morton WA to Capitol Peak? I can’t hear this station up in Seattle or in Longview WA. Also, I think they might broadcast from their auxiliary tower. Can anybody confirm this.
When did KOPB TV 10 and KOPB 91.5 FM move to Skyline from Healy Heights?
How about the history of KOAP/KOPB-TV Tower, was it used to be on Healy Heights?
If anyone cares in Eastern Oregon.
This is from Radio Insight:
Update 12/16 5:00pm: Lee Family Broadcasting will flip KINF to Regional Mexican “La Perrona 99.1” in early January.
The new format will feature the syndicated Ricardo “El Mandril” Sanchez in mornings, Program Director Benjamín “El Chupacabras” Reed in middays, Erazno y La Chokolata in afternoons, and La Chaparrita Ramírez. The station will also carry the 2014 World Cup.
Original Report 12/16 9:00am: The move of the former 97.5 KPHD Elko, NV to the Boise market on 102.7 has caused a chain reaction of moves in the market.
KPHD has signed-on in its new home of Melba, ID with new KZMG call letters in tow. Boise On-Air reports the station has debuted as Hot AC “My 102.7” running commercial free through the end of the year.
KZMG will also get a new owner as JLD Media has agreed to sell the station to FM Idaho for $800,000 and two used Harris HT25CD FM transmitters. In order to fit KZMG into its cluster, FM Idaho will sell News/Talk 99.1 KINF Gooding to Lee Family Broadcasting for $300,000.
In October KINF and sister 100.7 KPDA applied to swap facilities, which was followed up with a call letter swap to keep the existing programming on their previous signals. That swap, which was approved and completed last week set the stage for what will now see the 99.1 KINF facility depart the Boise market.
Lee Family Broadcasting will shift the focus of the station to Twin Falls, where the station has applied to downgrade from a Class C to C1 where it will operate with 35kW at 232 meters.
Following the sales, FM Idaho will operate Sports “ESPN Boise” 730 KNFL, Variety Hits “96.1 Bob-FM” KSRV, Regional Mexican “100.7 La Podersoa” KPDA, Rhythmic CHR “Wild 101.1” KWYD, and KZMG in the Boise market. KINF will join a Lee Family Twin Falls cluster of Spanish Adult Hits “Juan 970” KFTA, News/Talk 1230 KBAR, Classic Country 1400 KART, Hot AC “Hot 100” 99.9 KZDX, Sports “103.1 The Zone” KZNO, and Country “Kat Country 106” KKMV.

Any plan or date when will 97.9 THE Q move to 103.7 FM?
Which CP FM radio stations are they selling? I don’t see it on the FCC database.
I think the agreements between Industry-Canada and the FCC allows both countries stations to interfere each other. Take a look at Oak Harbor NEW FM allocation at 94.5 FM, CFBT has 60 cb contour right over Oak Harbor and the FCC allows this to happen? Also, between Bellingham, Wa and Vancouver, BC KISM 92.9 Bellingham is 1 channel adjacent to CKYE 93.1 Vancouver, KAFE 104.1 is 1 channel adjacent to CHHR 104.3 Vancouver, and KLYN 106.5 Lyden/Bellingham is 1 channel adjacent to CKAV-3 106.5 Vancouver. How could CTRC and the FCC allow this?
Did KTMT 93.7 change their formats again?
KLMD 92.9 Talent, OR.
Does anybody knows if this is on the air or not? Also, what format is this station?
How about another Country station in the Eugene area to compete against KKNU NEW COUNTRY 93?
Off the subject….but I rind that Eugene radio stations are boring these days compare to 10 years ago. Back then, they had a personality driven from Classic Rock to Top-40. Right now, its just voice track and their music selections are very repetitive or boring. What do you think?
Only 3 radio groups are representative in the Eugene Market.
-KMGE, KKNU, and KEUG
-KPNW, KDUK, KODZ, and KFLY
-KUGN, KSCR, KUJZ, KNRQ, KEHK, and KZEL.
I wish that Portland has another CHR station, either Entercom or Alpha Broadcasting that can break up the CHR monopoly from CLear Channel. Look at the ratings for both Z100 and Wild 107.5.
Eugene radio stations are boring. Cumulus are the worst radio station group in Eugene. Can they fixed STAR 102.3 FM music and bring back Country music on 95.3 FM.
