Ahh, the good old days when ratings mattered. Here’s a little surprise breakout:
Mornings Men 25-54
#1 KDUK #2 KKNU #3 KZEL
” ” Woman 25-54
#1 KDUK #2 KMGE #3 KKNU
Noticed that this tweet was sent at 4:40 pst and at 5 CNN led with the expected and deserved outrage. FWIW….I think some of the more sensational tweets he does just to f with msm. “Hey Jared, watch this!” -tweet-
Several movies come to mind as we are forced to digest this detritus: Wag The Dog, The Mouse That Roared & Dr. Strangelove. As my pop used to remind us, “Laugh or you’ll cry.”
Interesting poll I saw the other day that says slightly more than 60% of both Clinton & Trump voters are not voting in support of their choice but rather against the opposing candidate. That my friends is simply a graphic national division of epic proportions.August 25, 2015 at 8:22 am in reply to: KPAM's Margie Boule shares her true feelings on Facebook #13337
Next time Margie, go Greyhound. You can thank me later.
Sorry to be a contrarian & go rogue here, but in my estimation this was less about format than it was about reducing payroll. Last two book average for Men & Adults 25-54 showed KFLY more than holding its own in am/pm drive with numbers even surpassing their sister jukebox down the hall, KODZ. There were no consultants involved that I’m aware of and no market research either. And if memory serves, I don’t believe BC has hired a f/t programming staffer since they took over from CC in ’07. Bottom line: A salary dump for BiCoastal somewhere in the neighborhood of $100k+/- for the 3 talents was the sole driver of this “flip.”
“At the end of the day…”
“In my heart of hearts…”
“Let’s drill down on this..”
and the most overused phrase mostly abused by sports talking heads and pxp announcers:
“As you alluded to earlier..”
Until there are facts to prove otherwise, I am of the opinion that the majority if not all of the fatalities were probably the result of police (snipers) opening fire on the brawlers. This seemed to be a SOP containment exercise deemed to be the best option available given the circumstances. Bottom line: It should always suck to be a 1%er
So very sad to hear this. I first met Ralph in 95 and was always glad to run in to him from time to time over the past many years. Always a sharp wit with an uncanny knack for turning the perfect phrase. A pros pro of radio and the boards. RIP
The seg from 6:00 out should be req’d for everyone who has opined ad nauseum about Ferguson. You can’t argue with logic like that unless your bias is on cruise control. Amen Amus!
A few thoughts & observations here: The system, however flawed in reality or perception has spoken and much more than a teenagers life was destroyed here. Also lost was a family’s and policeman’s future along with a minority community’s belief in fairness and equality. The hope for peaceful protests although a nice sentiment, is unfortunately not shared by most social & mainstream media outlets.
