In a promotion for its mini-series “The Kennedys,” CNN tweeted that former President John F. Kennedy had a “legendary” love life.
“JFK had a legendary love life. Did one of his affairs connect him with the mob?” CNN tweeted.

By “love life,” the promo is referring to Kennedy’s numerous alleged extramarital affairs. Among the women associated with Kennedy were actress Marilyn Monroe and socialite Judy Campbell Exner, the woman referenced in the CNN tweet. Exner was alleged to have ferried envelopes from Kennedy to the mob.
Kennedy’s sexual improprieties went beyond having relationships with women other than his wife, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Such was the case with 19-year-old White House intern Mimi Alford.
Alford, who wrote a memoir detailing her experience, alleges Kennedy pressured her to perform oral sex on one his advisers while the president “silently watched.”
