Word has it Newsweek will expose ties between Cuba and Trump’s companies dating back to 1999. Trump is on tape in 1999 bashing Cuba. If this is the case, this might be the October Surprise a few days earlier.September 29, 2016 at 12:53 pm #23490

And yet none of this will make any difference to his followers because;
You’re not likely to get anywhere arguing with authoritarians.
If you won every round of a 15 round heavyweight debate with a Double High leader over history, logic, scientific evidence, the Constitution, you name it, in an auditorium filled with high RWAs, the audience probably would not change its beliefs one tiny bit.
Authoritarian followers might even cling to their beliefs more tightly, the wronger they turned out to be.
Trying to change highly dogmatic, evidence-immune, group-gripping people in such a setting is like pissing into the wind.September 29, 2016 at 2:31 pm #23494proud2baconservativeSpectator

Nobody cares about the emails. It’s been thoroughly investigated and there’s just nothing there.
However, Trump dealing with the Cubans while at the same time favoring the embargo is hypocrisy at it’s finest. And against the law.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said Donald Trump will have to “answer some questions” about a Newsweek story reporting that a Trump-owned company allegedly violated the United States’ trade embargo with Cuba in the late 1990s.
“This is something they’re going to have to give a response to. I mean, it was a violation of American law, if that’s how it happened,” Rubio said on the ESPN/ABC “Capital Games” podcast.
The report says the Trump-owned company secretly conducted business on the island under Fidel Castro’s communist regime.
According to Newsweek, Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts paid a consulting firm to help the company in the event the U.S. loosened trade restrictions. The consulting firm and the Trump company later attempted to cover up the transaction by making it look like legal spending for a charity.
Rubio, a former presidential candidate, insisted he would reserve judgment until he had learned all the facts.
“I hope the Trump campaign is going to come forward and answer some questions about this, because if what the article says is true — and I’m not saying that it is, we don’t know with a hundred percent certainty — I’d be deeply concerned about it. I would,” he said.September 29, 2016 at 3:13 pm #23498LangstonParticipant
The Miami Herald is covering this extensively. There are a lot of upset people in Florida’s Cuban community. Trump lied to them. This might be a good time for Kaine to return to Florida and speak to that community in Spanish.September 29, 2016 at 3:16 pm #23499AmusParticipant
