    Today’s Longview Daily News reports that former KBAM owner Terry Kynaston passed away on Wednesday at the age of 82.

    You know, I enjoyed KBAM. Especially as a truck driver. Daytime signal was a strong 5000 watts. Nighttime? Not so good. Station used to be a daytimer. The AM country stations are all but gone. Appreciate Terry for keeping the torch alive.

    KBAM puts a big signal along the Northern Oregon Coast during the way. Sometimes tops 1270 at night, but basically in the jumble.But they have a 250w FM that gets out pretty well too. I get it all of the time.

    True, mwdxer1. KBAM does have a strong signal to the west. You can hear every Seattle station more then 5000 watts in Astoria too. Seems to be a good place to catch signals. Especially during the day! Astoria is weird like that. Love it!
