It would be better to keep religion and politics separated.

    So?

Man is endowed by his creator with certain unalienable rights.

Yes, and that creator could be nature, or a deity, or??

We don’t know. And that means you too. Some of us believe some things, and others of us believe other things, and still others simply recognize we don’t know.

What we do know, is we are beings, and the implications of that living state are well articulated in the documents related to that sentence.

Religion is not an authority F&B. That is why we have separation of church and State.

Barring any material higher authority, it’s up to us to get along, which is why we have governance, law and all that comes with it.

For those of you who might think that we’re just using that “Talibaptist” as a pejorative, check out what’s going on in Idaho:

Republicans propose declaring Idaho a ‘Christian state’

“…The proposal seeks that Idaho be “formally and specifically declared a Christian state,” guided by a Judeo-Christian faith reflected in the U.S. Declaration of Independence where all authority and power is attributed to God, the resolution reads.
The measure argues that the Christian faith is under “strident attack” in the United States, and cites as evidence the absence of Christian traditions and symbols in public institutions such as schools.”
