ParticipantProbably the 1030 in La Grande. That bit about “economic, educational, blah blah” is lifted straight from the Vision Statement on the city’s home page (although I think Pendleton more closely fits the description…).

Participant201+ includes:
203 Bend
206 Medford/Ashland
AS far as I know there are no CPs for 1kw 2 tower in Bend. Can’t be Medford/Ashland beacause it’s not Eastern Oregon.

ParticipantHere is a list of all the CP’s for AM’s in Oregon:
Like Bossjock, I’d guess it’s La Grande @1030 kHz since it is DA and Eastern Oregon U. is there.
Enterprise is further East but it isn’t DA nor is there a school in the Oregon State University system there.

In filings with the FCC, BASIN MEDIACTIVE, LLC is selling Top 40 KYSF (HOT 102.9)/BONANZA, OR to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $125,000. BASIN, headed by TOM and ROBERT INGSTAD, bought KYSF earlier this year as part of its $600,000 purchase of the former NEW NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS cluster in KLAMATH FALLS from receiver ALAN DAVIS’ REVITALIZATION PARTNERS, LLC.

ParticipantThis is sad news! Hot 102.9 was the best sounding CHR in Klamath Falls.
October 23, 2011 at 10:48 pm #914kahtik
ParticipantYes, Scott Hoffman did a great job with Hot 102.9. Unfortunately, the signal was awful and not the greatest when is came to coverage. Heck, even on remotes, you had to have a decent radio to hear what you were doing going into breaks. Odds are they couldn’t resist the deal.

ParticipantKLMD 92.9 Talent, OR.
Does anybody knows if this is on the air or not? Also, what format is this station?
January 11, 2012 at 9:10 pm #917jr_tech
ParticipantFrom the FCC site, it appears that they filed the 302 for “license to cover” 11/09/11 and in that document requested “automatic program test authority”, so they may well be on the air.
http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_list.pl?Facility_id=166023
The preparer of the 302 (listed as a consultant) has prepared many documents for EMF and is list as engineering VP on those documents, so I would guess that some EMF programming might be broadcast by KLMD.

ParticipantKLMD is relaying KDOV (thedove.us) religious programming from Medford. The same audio is also being heard now on the Southern Oregon coast over KDPO-FM Port Orford (91.9) which recently signed on.
Yes, KLMD sure has a limited coverage area, not reaching all of Medford.

ParticipantThis from All Access 😯
TALLIE COLVILLE is selling KBDF/DIAMOND LAKE, OR to ROBERT W. LARSON and RICHARD W. HARVEY’s LARHARPOL LLC for $25,000.
February 17, 2012 at 7:35 pm #920boisebill
ParticipantWhat populated ares does KBDF cover!?
Looks like it’s out in the middle of nowhere.
February 17, 2012 at 8:09 pm #921Broadway
ParticipantIt’s transmitter site is just above the Diamond Lake Resort on a local cell tower…not a whole lot of people there…just seasonally…but will have an exclusive audience…hardly any other radio gets there.
February 17, 2012 at 10:35 pm #922jr_tech
Participant$25K for a construction permit in the middle of nowhere? 😯
http://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/fmq?list=0&facid=189547
Or has it been built out?
February 18, 2012 at 3:39 am #923semoochie
ParticipantI was surprised that it doesn’t appear to reach Crater Lake, which would help a little.
