    This from All Access:

BICOASTAL MEDIA has flipped Classic Hits KCMD/GRANTS PASS, OR to a simulcast of its News-Talk KMED-A/MEDFORD, OR. The station continues to be heard on K294AS/ASHLAND, OR as well.

BICOASTAL is buying KCMD from THREE RIVERS BROADCASTING, LLC for $325,000 and is operating the station under a pre-closing LMA.

An article in the Chico Enterprise-Record caught my eye:

North State Public Radio considering partnership with Capital Public Radio

“North State Public Radio considering partnership with Capital Public Radio”

NSPR, which has translators as far north as Dunsmuir/Mt Shasta is running into financial issues and is reaching out to CPR-Sacramento for resource sharing. Part of CPR’s problem comes from Jefferson Public Radio’s dominance in Northern California. Ashland-based JPR has coverage down to the Redding area.

This should be a good fit for Capitol Public Radio. To expand there coverage more into Northern Calif. Back in 2002 KQED FM from SFO. Came along and bought old Class A KEBR FM (Now KQEI) in Sacramento. Back at that time. Capitol Pubic Radio didn’t want. KQED to have more of a present in there market.
