    Megyn Kelly’s Duggar Interview Ripped by Media Experts.

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/megyn-kelly%e2%80%99s-duggar-interview-ripped-by-media-experts/ar-BBkJ4VF

    Megyn Kelly scored a ratings hit when she interviewed embattled “19 Kids and Counting” parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, but media experts say the Fox News Channel anchor struck out when it comes to journalistic standards.

    “It seemed to be pretty much about helping the Duggars salvage their brand rather than getting to the bottom of what happened in this family,” NPR TV Critic Eric Deggans told TheWrap. “She wasn’t particularly incisive and she didn’t push the Duggars on issues that I think are at the heart of this — why they waited so long to go to law enforcement, why they took all these unofficial avenues to get their children help.”

    Critics say Kelly allowed the Duggars to spend too much time blaming others, instead of asking more hard-hitting questions.

    “She was obviously sympathetic to their cause,” Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism professor June Cross told TheWrap. “She gave them the sympathetic ear they needed and the platform they were looking for to get their story out.”

    Deggans, who has been a journalist for more than two decades, agreed.

    “Twenty minutes passed in the interview before she asked how the daughters felt about what happened to them,” he noted.

    Meanwhile, CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield tells TheWrap she has many problems with the way the Duggars dealt with the abuse taking place in their home.

    That article is about Jenner, not the Duggars.

    The author is very seriously uninformed and based on that piece, not actually qualified to speak on these things with any real authority. Probably born bisexual, in denial, and just taking the easy path.

    What is more disturbing is that you find these two matters somehow related. This error is hard to sort out, but I’m inclined to see it as even more gross than the ones made by the author!

    Unless you put this on the wrong thread. If so, disregard my comments above.

    It was inevitable I suppose that Sarah Palin weigh in on this, because, you know, it’s all about Sarah after all.

    In doing so, she chides the left wing lame steam media for not treating Lena Dunham, who took a peek at her one year old baby sister’s vagina when she was 7, with Josh Duggar who diddled his little sister’s when he was 14.

    Because, you know, it’s the same thing.

    Anyway, the Vox article about this contains the single most salient paragraph about this that I think has been printed anywhere;

    Josh Duggar’s admitted abuse, especially in light of what the Duggars have said in the past regarding LGBT people, makes them seem hypocritical. Duggar’s admitted abuse wouldn’t be as newsworthy if the Duggars didn’t make their brand and themselves known as moral arbiters of right and wrong. The Duggars have made a living of telling other people how to live their private lives, and Josh’s molesting of underage girls, his sisters, makes you question on what authority do they have to really be doing that anymore.

    Oh it’s not a witch hunt or liberal media bias unless Sarah Palin dimes in on it.

    Oh thank you so very much John McCain for cursing America with Sarah Palin. Had you not dragged her away from Alaska in 2008. Most Americans would say, “Who the hell is Sarah Palin?”
