Why is it always a damn Republican that molests? Sure, with half the population leaning left, there are Democrats that do the same. But man, the Republicans have the big-time hypocrite fuck-up technique perfected.May 22, 2015 at 2:11 pm #10905
TLC ran a “19 and Counting” marathon yesterday much to the outrage of the viewing public. One was scheduled for today but apparently has been cancelled, and the show pulled from the network.
I’ve only seen “19 and Counting” once…what a saccarin bunch of people. I didn’t realize this show has been on since 2008!May 22, 2015 at 3:14 pm #10908duxruleParticipant
Coming from a family of 13 children, there was ABSOLUTELY no appeal for me in watching that show. However, I’m not surprised in the slightest.May 22, 2015 at 11:51 pm #10914BroadwayParticipant
They kept on asking Jesus about the woman. Finally, he stood up and said, “If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her!” (Contemporary English Version)May 23, 2015 at 12:29 am #10916
I’m not sure what biblical quotes have to do with this scenerio. But if you want to go down that road…
Are there any bible quotes about a religious family who tries to gain money by publicizing their trials? Which is exactly what this family has done. They have made many multi hundreds of thousands from this series. Show me where this is acceptable in the Bible. (Disclaimer: I don’t disbelieve the Bible, but this type of commercialism doesn’t seem to match up with my belief of the Bible).May 23, 2015 at 1:21 am #10920
Broadway: “(Contemporary English Version)”
Me: If you’re gonna vomit on the board, you might as well quote the Old Testament and make it worth your while.

I guarantee you that the Duggar family is more accepting of him in light of his admission of molesting young women (including his sisters??) than they would be if he came out as being gay.
Indeed, the Lord works in mysterious ways.May 24, 2015 at 11:38 am #10938VitalogyParticipant
Ark. police destroy Duggar’s record.
Arkansas police have destroyed the records of Josh Duggar’s nearly decade-old molestation case.
Springdale Police spokesman Scott Lewis told the Associated Press that Judge Stacey Zimmerman ordered the 2006 offense report destroyed Thursday. Zimmerman didn’t return a request for comment on Friday.
“The judge ordered us yesterday to expunge that record,” Lewis said, adding that similar records are typically kept indefinitely. “As far as the Springdale Police Department is concerned this report doesn’t exist.”
The move came a day after the 19 Kids and Counting reality TV personality resigned his position as a lobbyist for the Family Research Council after news of sexual misconduct allegations from his teenage years surfaced.
Why would they do this?May 24, 2015 at 12:02 pm #10939LangstonParticipant

1 in 3 girls in America are molested, sexually assaulted or raped by the time they are 18 years old. In most cases by someone they know.
Chew on that for a moment. 1 in 3!!!
For those of us with daughters, that is a frightening statistic.
I do believe in second chances, but when you cover up what predators do, then, I believe, you are in collusion.
I, too, believe in God’s grace. However, it’s also about making it right and protecting our daughters from sexual predators.
Once again, Broadway using scripture to either ignore the reality of the moment or to justify his stance.May 24, 2015 at 9:37 pm #10943
Broadway, thank the Almighty God for seeing that Michelle Duggar got this very public reaming in the butt for her hypocrisy.
Last summer, she accused transgender people of being pedophiles and therefore not worthy of human rights. We all now know she was hoarding an actual pedophile under her own roof.
I’m really, really, pleased to see Michelle get this shafting. IMO, you’re overdue for one yourself.May 24, 2015 at 10:50 pm #10944
While I dislike this show and their holier than thou attitude, I don’t wish any ill will to them.
But their views are outside the mainstream view of Christianity in the the U.S. today. That is bothersome to many, but I respect their rights to believe what they want to believe. My major problem is they seem to be “using” their religion to gain wealth. This probably will end soon. And it should.
Oh, btw, this wouldn’t be the first time this has happened…(i.e. religious tv evangelists), but just on a new platform. Disgusting.
