I recently heard a report on KOMO that one man was killed and an additional five people were wounded at the ZombiCon street festival in Fort Myers, Florida. The shooter is still at large, and authorities are looking for any video footage or similar evidence that could help. Witnesses stated that they heard several loud shots, after which festival-goers dispersed very quickly.
I remember when the NRA supported laws that allow stand your ground to come into effect, many people warned that Florida should be avoided as a place to be due to potential gun violence. Seem to me Florida continues to prove those people correct. More guns = more gun deaths, especially when the law allows people to shoot dead people if they feel like it.
