Just heard that Leonard Nimoy passed this morning. We need to sing “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” for the rest of the day.
I thought Vulcans lived forever.
Vulcans do – those who play them, don’t. RIP Leonard. Live long and prosper.
And if you don’t know “Bilbo Baggins” here’s a “live” version from ’09: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kvOwPgAo6U
Had the privilege to meet Nimoy years ago, briefly. Yes, hard to believe he’s gone, seemed like he would actually live forever. I think he was 197 in Vulcan years.
🙁
The idea of Spock is a cool one, and it had a major impact on tons of people. R.I.P. Leonard. Thanks for the good times.
Thanks Andy. I love it. Now Spock, Scotty, and Bones are all together on the Galileo Seven again.
This is what he tweeted on the 22nd, a pretty cool sentiment:
A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP
His only public appearance as Spock was in Medford, OR.

I was in that parade on a smudge pot float.
Nimoy was the Grand Marshall of the Pear Blossom Parade 1967.
