Michael Medved To Take Time Off For Cancer Treatment
Get well wishes go out to SALEM RADIO NETWORK host MICHAEL MEDVED, who told listeners TODAY (1/30) that he will be taking a leave of absence to complete chemotherapy and radiation treatments for stage three squamous cell throat cancer.
MEDVED said that he discovered that he had the disease after a dental hygienist noticed a lump on his neck; he said that the prognosis for recovery is good and that he will receive his last treatment on FEBRUARY 26th, but needs time to recover. SALEM News-Talk KSKY-A (AM 660 THE ANSWER)/DALLAS host MARK DAVIS will be MEDVED’s primary fill-in, and his flagship BONNEVILLE News-Talk KTTH-A/SEATTLE morning host DAVID BOZE and AMERICAN ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE President ARTHUR BROOKS will also fill in.
Even in the beginning of treatment he was on the air yesterday/Friday…voice sounded raspy at times but was a trooper! God bring him healing and restoration back into all of our loves…radio broadcasting.
Michael is one of the most intelligent, sane and reasoned conservatives on the air. He continues to be based in Seattle. I also love his movie reviews, which he includes atleast once a week.
Godspeed to him and hope to hear from him for years to come.
