    It looked like a bad SNL skit, which is apropos considering who hosted the WHCD. People were pining for Joel McHale.

    It was awesome. Keegan Michael-Key has been doing this character for several years on “Key and Peele,” on Comedy Central. It’s funnier than hell.

    Only a right wing asshole would find that not funny.

    And, only a left wing moron would make such a statement.

    As a registered Independent, I found it mildly humorous.

    I thought his jabs at Cheney, Bachmann and Huckabee were funnier.

    For once, Andy and I agree – those WERE better bits. As was the CNN jab.

    Incidentally, CNN ran a highlight reel from past WHCDs and I have to say while this year’s event had fewer funny moments the best ones topped years past.

    By the way – my commentary on who hosted the WHCD was directed at Cecily Strong, not POTUS. Strong was awful.

    Hey everyone. I got called on a tough project. Just catching up.

    That was awesome! Obama has great humor, and he clearly appreciates a lot of the foundation for it inherent in his position as President.

    Well done, IMHO.

    It is also my opinion anyone who can’t actually laugh at that bit really does continue to struggle with some issues, as it will have hit way too close to home.

    Great satire tends to do that.

    From Vox;

    The joke was that Obama wasn’t joking

    Neither was Colbert.

    We are reduced to watching court jesters for fear of any direct expression.

    At the core of that fear is money and prejudice.
