    Larry began at KXL as a deejay from 1952 to 1956.

    Larry began his many decades long career as Disc Jockey, Radio Personality, Character Actor, Stand-up Comic, Television Booth Announcer, Talk Show Host, Newscaster, and Broadcast Engineer. Larry introduced Portland to Elvis and performed Record Hops at Portland area high schools. He also had the distinct honor to have been the”sign-on” voice at the inception of three Portland television stations, KGW-TV, KHTV, KATU. Larry’s voice broadcasted many of the Portland area station call letters, KPOJ AM/FM, KXL, KWJJ, KGW, KMO, KYJC, KUIK, KPTV.

    Had the pleasure of interviewing Larry for hours in 2008 for the KXL history. He was a wealth of information and so nice. Read more about Larry here:
