This may be old news, but I noticed today that this has happened. A few weeks ago Andy Brown posted on the towers thread:

    “May 24, 2016 at 12:56 pm
Highly popular Class D KXRY (XRAY FM) is working out the details but will soon appear on HD-3 of KQAC 89.9 (previously they were on HD-2). This restores “fill in” status and will enable the K296FT West Haven 107.1 translator to execute the existing CP upgrade to 99 watts with DA (directional antenna) which will increase their east west coverage slightly. Here’s the KXRY, K296FT(lic) and K296FT (CP) signals superimposed on a Google Map. This also means they can feed the translator by any terrestrial means, i.e. the internet.”

Indeed, xray is now on 89.9 HD-3 and the signal strength of 107.1 at my location has increased from about 10 over S-9 to about 18 over S-9, as observed on the tiny little S meter under the dx cats right paw.

    89.9 lineup is now:
HD-1 main KQAC main classical channel
    HD-2 KZME programming
    HD-3 KXRY programming
    HD-4 Reggae

The increased signal strength on K296FT has slightly reduced the amount of interference that I receive from KLVU.
