A source quoted in this newspaper article says KPAM 860 is moving to Puget Sound:

    https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/local/communities/bainbridge-islander/2018/06/17/bainbridge-island-radio-transmitter-conservative-salem-media-group/705967002/?hootPostID=a027d861ae99f6357455a76280cf9134

It seems though that any 50KW Bainbridge Island station broadcasting on 860 would be too close to KHHO 850 Tacoma and KIXI 880 Mercer Island.

I’ll believe it when I see an application.

The article is supposed to be about swapping ownership of KPAM for KKOL. Mentioning KPAM in that way was either a misprint or misunderstanding of the facts.

From experience in submitting press releases to our local paper over the years they always got some detail wrong or rewritten to say something not true…and in this case a newspaper writer writing about radio business…thus we see them getting it wrong…and pretty bad. Human error in the press…nah—-;)

KPAM-AM has not been and is not a Neilsen Arbitron subscriber. Difficult to determine if Salem is doing better than Pamplin. For a casual listener, they seem to be. Go Pickles!
Salem has two radio stations in the SEA metro but they have less than good signal coverage. Makes some sense.
