Interesting that this anniversary is going almost unnoticed these days. Time has a way of voiding these monumental events. Perhaps the next one of importance will be 60, but even that will probably mean nothing to most. 75 might be different, as all those involved, (or not involved) will be dead.
A date that will likely become less important than Lincoln’s death. Such is life and death.
It’s hard for me to believe JFK was killed 51 years ago today. When I heard about it, I was standing outside the day room at Ft.Knox Kentucky. I was drafted and went into the U.S. Army on November 5, 1963 and was doing basic training there. At the time we thought there would be war because of it.
