ParticipantA kakistocracy is a state or country run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.

ParticipantI consider myself educated, but I had never heard this term before. However, I think it applies to our present situation.
The Trump presser today was, (fill in your own description):
Wild, Weird, Whirlwind, Outlandish, Outrageous, Out of line, Interruptive, Insulting, (dis) Ingenious. Denied, Don’t (recall), Didn’t (do it).
And finally, Dishonest (leakers), Dishonest (facts), and Dishonestx3, (media).
My gawd, flashbacks of Richard Nixon.

ParticipantThere was also the Admiral who told Trump “no shit sandwich for me.”

ParticipantTrump will be useful to the GOP until he becomes a liability.
I think we’re starting to see the cracks.
Yesterday after his “Press Conference” He was ripped on Fox News.
Sure, it was Shep Smith, the Fag Fox News viewers love to hate, but still for it to even air on Fox says something.
While not scientific by any means, personally, I’ve seen less Facebook traffic from his (former?) supporters on my Facebook feed.
Could be that embarrassment is setting in.

SpectatorI think we have a fantastic president who has our best interests at heart.
I thank God for him and for what we were spared.
I think his news conference going directly to the people was brilliant and it should have been reassuring to the doubters who are fair-minded.

Of course you do.
You’re a blathering idiot.February 17, 2017 at 9:39 am #27376proud2baconservative
SpectatorThat’s very true Amus. I hope that that becomes your rallying cry the next elections.
“Blathering idiots” and “deplorables” elected Trump. Vote Democratic! It sounds like a winner to me.

Participant“I think his news conference going directly to the people was brilliant and it should have been reassuring to the doubters who are fair-minded.”
Can YOU find any? I can’t. The only ones who could possibly be “reassured” by that dumpster fire are the weak-minded.

ParticipantJust to be clear.
“Deplorables” was clearly defined; So please check the boxes that apply to you:
(or, allow me)Racist (not overtly anyway)
Sexist (check)
Homophobic (in spades)
Xenophobic (check)
Islamophobic (off the scales)February 17, 2017 at 9:52 am #27379Andy Brown
ParticipantThe tie that binds drumpf and his supporters is called undiagnosed mental illness.

ParticipantBacon is a liar and a hypocrite, in addition to being fact adverse, obstinate, childish, and cowardly.
It’s the “Christian” way, apparently.

ParticipantThe word “kakistocracy” was coined by British author Thomas Love Peacock in his 1829 novel, The Misfortunes of Elphin. The word is intended to be the opposite of aristocracy, and it uses the Greek root “kakistos,” which means “worst.” Kakistocracy, using the Greek roots, is also found in Spanish, French, Russian, and, of course, Greek.
