Joey Harrington Joins KXTG (750 The Game)/Portland
Former UNIVERSITY OF OREGON and NFL quarterback JOEY HARRINGTON is joining ALPHA MEDIA Sports KXTG-A-K275CH (750 THE GAME)/PORTLAND to co-host 3-5p (PT) on MONDAYS and FRIDAYS with FLETCHER JOHNSON.
EVP/Programming SCOTT MAHALICK said, “With JOEY’s non-profit experience and support of local youth, 750 THE GAME now has a group of exceptional team members that are not only sports authorities but are laser focused on community involvement as well.”
“We are thrilled to add JOEY’s DUCKS and NFL expertise and analysis to our afternoon drive show,” added SVP/Market Manager MILT MCCONNELL.
HARRINGTON said, “I’m excited for the opportunity to join the 750 THE GAME team and ALPHA MEDIA. What a perfect way for me to be able to share my passion for all things football and PORTLAND, than over the airwaves on the best station in town.”
I’ll be honest…I liked Chad Doing and switched to 1080 The Fan when he left 750 to go to San Fran. What happened to Mike Ragz? But with that said, I’m happy for Fletch, since he’s paid his dues producing Canzano and Strong at Night.
I wondered if/when Joey might move to local media. So many network hosts have a weekday local gig, so why not Joey? He’s smart, affable, and knows college and NFL football. Good hire!
BTW, as of 7 p.m. Saturday, the 750 website still shows:
“3pm-7pm In The Huddle w/ Ragz”
Perhaps the Alpha webmaster didn’t get the memo?
After some research, I can’t find anything that indicates Mike Ragz was cut loose by Alpha. I checked Twitter and I still don’t know what’s up. Interestinly, Fletcher Johnson’s Twitter feed is rocking with activity, while Ragz’s 750 account is silent since yesterday (9/11). Might this be that Ragz will still be on Tuesdays through Thursdays with Johnson & Harrington handling Mondays and Fridays? Or, is Ragz out of the picture now?
