    I just heard a report on CBC that NOAA has announced that August 2016 was the hottest on record. The Weather Channel goes into greater detail:

    Weather Underground’s Wunder Blog reports that various locations in Europe and the Middle East broke temperature records in September:

    Mitribah, Kuwait reported 51.2°C (124.2°F) on September 4th.

    We break records almost every month, every year, going back for some time now.

    The trend lines are unprecedented and alarming.

    Ecosystems both on land, and even more so in the oceans, are being badly damaged and species are becoming extinct at a rapid clip. The numbers are eye boggling.

    Nope. Nothing to see here. Everything’s good.
