And I found this interesting tidbit that didn’t make much sense to me because I’ve always been told by the extreme rightists different….

In Genesis 2:7, after God formed man He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.

What is not making sense to you?

I would say this is confirmation in the Bible that there’s no such thing as an “unborn baby”.

Good work Trixer! I knew you were good for something!

Isn’t the concept that Adam was just a clay statue until God magically made him come to life (by breathing life into his nostrils). If somebody wanted to, he or she could definitely say that this means that unborn fetuses are not “alive.” Then again, wouldn’t this be the same as people taking Luke 22:36 to mean that Christians should own firearms? (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sell_your_cloak_and_buy_a_sword )

You are all making great points on why not to read scripture literally.

So I have to believe what Chris says literally, but not God’s Word? Interesting read…

Broadway, yes, literally, to both. The Bible says no “unborn” babies. Suck that. Now go beat your wife into submission, and for God’s sake, stop masturbating.

I think Skep has Broadway pegged!
