Hillary Clinton wiped “clean” the private server housing emails from her tenure as secretary of state, the chairman of the House committee investigating the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi said Friday.

“While it is not clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to the Department,” Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi, said in a statement

Of course this is fine and dandy. She’s hillary and she gets to make her own rules.

She did submit the email required. They have all they need.

No need to leave that server populated for ongoing witch hunts, is there?

    So it went like this:

    1. Request for email

    2. Submit email to satisfy request.

    3. Make it clear that is all relevant email.

    4. Close down server, switch to other comms.

From here, they either show her submission was not inclusive, or they are done, next.

If this were a prominent Republican doing the same thing as Hillary did, the screaming and hate on this forum would probably overload Dan’s server.

Hillary submitted what she wanted to submit and deleted emails that belonged to the public and were relevant to an investigation.

There seems to be no wrong she could do that her enablers would not defend. She could steal $100,000 and they would be good with it. Wait…she’s already done that…

Actually, she gave the public the emails and removed all other emails.

Need I remind you of gop.org and that we got basically no emails?

    Your opinion.

You guys forget how emails work.

She sent 90K pages and made it clear that was full disclosure.

Those exchanges happen with others who also have copies.

If there are things missing, an analysis can show that.

So the GOP needs to do the work or her disclosure stands.

Well let’s prove she had nothing too hide then and we’ll have egg on our faces.

Oops…she erased everything. Oh well, I suppose that proves she has nothing hidden since nothing is left.

I can’t wait to see what SNL does with this.

How can any email sent to a foreign concern promising a favor in exchange for a large donation be tracked down, or those sent to her aids who also circumvented protocol?

Copies exist all over the place and she knows that.

The GOP needs to do the work now. Request made, she complied, end.

Ask Rove where all the Bush administration emails are. By comparison, this is fine.

Rather than keep this an ongoing issue, she produced them all.

Btw, foreign donations, anonymous ones, are currently legal and do not require disclosure.

She would do that verbally and be fine.

Democrats pushed for disclosure and the stupid party insisted on denying that fix to Citizens United.

Everyone has something to hide, F&B – you included. It’s called “private stuff”. And everyone is entitled to it, including Hillary.

I’m curious to know things about you that you haven’t told us yet. Why are you keeping those things secret?

Doesn’t matter a whit. Hillary has a higher grade of Teflon than her husband has, and the stupidity that is the American electorate will hand her the keys to the White House in 2016.

She doesn’t have the right to hide government business. She doesn’t get to trick us by conveniently mixing personal and business messages and then deciding herself what is personal. What if she “accidentally” erased something pertinent to an investigation?

An independent arbiter could have reviewed everything. The pubic wouldn’t have needed to know her personal business and she knows that.

She erased the hard drive. No surprise there, but my hunch had been it was at the bottom of the ocean. And it could be. She might have had a new hard drive installed.

I suppose we now have a new “stupid party,” except she’s expecting EXTREME stupid.

    Nope. You’re the stupid one.
