Can’t fault Channel 8 for what appeared as some technical issues with the show iteslf, and it’s obvious that presenting anything live without commercial interruption is expensive. However, the Master of Disaster found it a bit crass to hard-cut to a commercial break before the show ended. And at least they got the sound working unlike whichever previous year it was.
I watched online at KGW.com and the moment the show ended they stopped the feed.
However, camera’s were getting shots of the brush fire that was burning in the field near where the fireworks were being launched. The fire grew larger and larger as fireworks were being launched. One shot did show a firetruck dowsing flames near the end of the show.
