I’m not the biggest fan of Hillary, but seriously, has there been anybody more investigated in the last 25 years?
She’s either the most diabolical criminal mastermind in recent history or she’s fundamentally honest.July 5, 2016 at 11:30 am #21361proud2baconservativeSpectator
She’s a slippery fish for sure, but she’s not off the hook politically. Maybe incompetence and carelessness excuses her from prosecution but what does it say about her as a leader?July 5, 2016 at 11:40 am #21362
It probably says this is a lot about very little.
Compared to Trump she’s Abraham Lincoln.July 5, 2016 at 11:42 am #21363
Only that she’s light years better than our other choice.
Which is SO FUNNY, if it weren’t so sad.
GOP has historically every reason to expect they could take the whitehouse and appoint at least 2 Supreme Court Justices affecting the future for years.
And what do they do?
A Hillary indictment, which I wasn’t so sure wasn’t coming, was possibly your last best hope to avoid a November rout (pending the outcome of the GOP convention).
Suck it Bitches!
You’ve only yourselves and your ignorance and hypocrisy to blame.July 5, 2016 at 11:53 am #21364Andy BrownParticipant
Maybe it’s more about the incompetence and carelessness of the Republican party for constantly creating these faux scandals to begin with. As a result, millions of our dollars get wasted on political theater. The list of these GOP misadventures is too long to list. These Republican miscreants have set a new bar for malfeasance, wasting not only money but time taking how many votes to overturn the ACA which stood no chance of going anywhere. Or the whole Bengazi thing. The political right wing are the ones that should be on trial.July 5, 2016 at 2:40 pm #21366BroadwayParticipant

Fact: There is no unity in the GOP. Not just some unrest like in the Democratic Party, but some downright ugly discord that includes many top Republicans. There are organized rebellions heading into the rules meetings for the GOP convention later this week.
Fact: This election cycle, the right wing bible thumping vote has lost all of its importance. The thumpers have been banished to the margins of political discourse.
Fact: America is not a Christian nor a Protestant country, but it is undoubtedly a country that believes in God. Which brings us to Donald Trump. He is a cynical showman. He’s a pretender, a man who has learned that if you confidently assert a factually inaccurate, imagined reality long enough and vociferously enough, you can eventually convince some people it’s true. His lies don’t stick to him because his bravado, his braggadocio, his combative persona sweep away any concern for truthfulness. Donald is shallowly, unconscionably, sneeringly all about winning. He is, perhaps, the most cynical operator on the stage of American politics today (though Ted Cruz gave him a good run for his money in this category), but Donald is headed to the convention with enough votes to win the nomination unless the rules committee comes up with something to block that (and believe it, they are working on that as we discuss this).
Fact: Trump is a heathen. Nothing about his message or persona is even tinged by the Christian ethos or the character of Jesus. Can anyone imagine Jesus Christ saying the things that Donald says or using the tone that Donald uses or grimacing with Donald’s snide face?
So who are the biggest hypocrites here? Not Trump. He is being himself. It’s the bible bangers like Broadway, Pope Bacon, etc. They are the ones that are compromising their beliefs for political gain. It also wreaks of stupidity as well as hypocrisy since the donald isn’t going to do much of what he says he will. He won’t fight for the bible thumping causes. Not one bit.July 5, 2016 at 3:13 pm #21369

Speaking of “truth”–Is it true or false that Hillary lied to the American people about her emails?
(Can we keep it simple and not have to define “is”?)July 5, 2016 at 4:10 pm #21373VitalogyParticipant
Is it true or false that Trump lies every day?
Regardless, bible thumpers are proving their hypocrisy every day they support Trump.July 5, 2016 at 4:38 pm #21375

Like Churchill’s assessment of Democracy, Hillary is the worst Presidential candidate except for Trump;
PolitiFact has rated 24% of Hillary Clinton’s contentious claims as receiving a perfect “True” score
It turns out Donald Trump’s statements have only rated out as being fully “True” a mere 3% of the time
