The drumpf administration is fighting in federal court to block states from giving billions of dollars in emergency food stamps to the lowest-income Americans during the coronavirus crisis.

Unfortunately, he still has at least two more months to do some nasty things on the way out the door – with no fear of re-election consequences. Let’s hope this is as bad as he gets…

Let’s also hope that if Trump loses, the fealty of GOP senators will begin to subside, and they will grow a backbone that could be used to push back against any temper tantrums Trump will have on his way out the door.

    Hey, one can hope.

Well, once Trump loses, Republicans won’t have to fear him anymore. They won’t really have to “grow a backbone.” They’ll still be in office – he won’t. Nobody likes a loser.

The only angle I can see where Republicans might indulge Trump a little more would be in regard to weakening Biden. As in 2009 with Obama, Republicans’ #1 goal will be to obstruct everything Biden does and delegitimize him; if Trump continuing to scream about the election seems to weaken Biden, I can see Republicans in Congress going along with him.

There are 20 GOP Senators up for re-election. If we can make a dent in how many succeed, perhaps the remaining Republicans will have to rethink their priorities, that is, the ones who aren’t in prison!
