The publicist for Robert Plant now says that the claim that he tore up an $800 million check (now, it’s a contract, which makes much more sense) is “rubbish.”

It wouldn’t be the first time the Mirror started a rumor and got away with it for a short time.

The part of the story about wanting to re-create “The Starship” and selling tickets at 100,000 pounds to fans set off my bunk-o-meter. “Rubbish!!”
I really hope Robert Plant comes around. We are talking about one of the best bands ever to reunite (with Bonham’s son playing drums who rocks just like his Dad did). I almost think Plant owes his fans a reunion tour.
Life is too short, before long none of them will be able to tour, and they will regret the decision to let down so many fans.
For me, money and venue is no object to see Zeppelin.
