So much for a neutral moderator.

It was really chaos. Biden could not even get his points across. It was bad for the viewer too that wanted to learn more about Biden. Hopefully the next debate will be better.

If they can even get another “debate” together with those two, the moderator must have control of the mics for it to work.

Agreed. New debate rules should include

    1) During the reserved two minutes time, the other mic is turned off … period.

    2) After each gets 2 min then they can go back and forth … but

    3) If the moderator gives a warning, and it’s ignored, then the other party gets an additional 1 minute with the other mic off.

Treat Trump like the elementary school kid he is.

The moderator did a very poor job. There should also be a mic cutoff if things get out of hand.

Rachel Maddow had the best suggestion: “debate by mail.”

I have a little trouble figuring out what value the debates have, especially this election.

They need to lower the Cone of Silence over Trump when he begins interrupting so he can just babble to himself.

    Deane-

I was thinking the same thing. Here are my 5 reasons why I don’t watch debates…particularly this year.

    1. I know whom I’m voting for.
    2. Both sides will claim victory
    3. Pundits will use clips to justify their position
    4. Debates, as far as I know, are mainly for those who are undecided.
    5. Our politics area already polarized, why waste my time watching what I see and read everyday.
