I think she’s getting a bit more shit than necessary, but the level of corruption of the Democratic Party right now, big money influences, dealings of various kinds just isn’t appropriate, it’s not doing us any good.
More generally, the direction Democrats have taken since Bill Clinton, has been pretty nice on social issues. Economic performance, for the majority of Americans, has been poor.
Those party norms, driving that poor economic performance, are under challenge, and are linked to the Clintons, though they are by no means responsible for all of that. They do however, present as icons, in this sense.
Most economic Progressives want nothing to do with that policy, and they see Clinton as an obstacle to that end.
Those lines got drawn during the 2016 primary. And it won’t really be resolved, until we see a meaningful change in party direction economically.
For the most part, increasing human need in pain is driving that. Which is why it’s not going to go away until we see meaningful change.
