$42k (real money) and $127k (maybe money) is a long way from the original asking price. Any ideas on what this station is billing or has the potential to bill?

I looked at the station’s packet back in July. Sales were really weak, the owner had been the sales team. After his death sales dropped considerably. I think the major problem with buying this station is that there are too many serving that area. Ohana owns five stations in the market, covering news/talk, country, classic rock, classic country, and a we play everything station. And there are a couple independents in the mix, too. Lots of money spent in the area in the summer, but it’s mostly tourist money. Actual populations is pretty low for that area. I think their potential for earnings would increase considerably doing a 70-80’s oldies format. There alternative format only works well in larger markets. Be interesting to see what the new owners do with this station. I wish them all the best.

“…does not include the call letters, programming, or equipment or other tangible property.”
Makes sense since everything but the call letters probably don’t exist.

Dick Linn, Stephanie’s husband was the successful bidder for the Waldport FM in auction 98 at 93.7. Everything will move to the new frequency from same tower site. They stay in business picking up a bundle of cash.
