ParticipantFormer Bend jock, Bruce Cannon has passed away. He was a longtime fixture at KTAC Tacoma, and worked at various markets in the Northwest. A very good radio performer, a unique but likeable style. “Sugar Bruce” was a nickname, and yes, he was quite a sweet radio pro.

ParticipantNews from the “OPB Radio” video listing channel. KETP is on the air in Enterprise. Most likely went on in the Fall of 2010. http://cdbs.recnet.net:8080/fmq.php?call=KETP
Additionally, KHRV Hood River 90.1MHz must have switched to OPB about the same time.

All-Elvis Stunt Portends Change In Boise
Changes are coming in BOISE, where TREASURE VALLEY BROADCASTING Regional Mexican KWEI-F (99.5 LA LEY) is stunting with an All-ELVIS PRESLEY format. The weekend stunt followed a brief period of looping RITCHIE VALENS’ “La Bamba” with a message saying that the Spanish-language programing will move to “1450 AM, LA RAZA.”
Meanwhile, at 1450 AM, sister Sports-Talk KIOV-A’s website has changed to a message saying that the syndicated DENNIS MILLER show “will return” TODAY “Live on 1260 A.M. KTRP”; 1260 has been home to Spanish Sports KWEI-A.

ParticipantDoes 750-AM air all 6 hours?
March 24, 2011 at 5:52 pm #1079semoochie
ParticipantNo, they go to local news at 4PM. There’s a thought: They could run the rest of the national show, just on 750 and then go back to the simulcast.
