GROWING CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION has applied for a Silent STA for FM translator K221EY/BEND, OR due to “undiagnosed equipment failure.”November 1, 2013 at 9:38 pm #1231
It all started nearly 10 years ago with the Arlington OR 295C2 (106.9) allocation. After Cherry Creek and others got involved stations in up to 7 states got bounced around the dial.
One was KSAS 103.3 Caldwell. They moved to 103.5 Oct 31st at 5PM.
While south of Boise today I was checking out 102.9 in Jerome (that still has to move to 103.1). Instead I hear KSJJ Bend! Had a great signal for a while. Sounded good.November 20, 2013 at 7:32 am #1232

If anyone cares in Eastern Oregon.
This is from Radio Insight:
Update 12/16 5:00pm: Lee Family Broadcasting will flip KINF to Regional Mexican “La Perrona 99.1” in early January.
The new format will feature the syndicated Ricardo “El Mandril” Sanchez in mornings, Program Director Benjamín “El Chupacabras” Reed in middays, Erazno y La Chokolata in afternoons, and La Chaparrita Ramírez. The station will also carry the 2014 World Cup.
Original Report 12/16 9:00am: The move of the former 97.5 KPHD Elko, NV to the Boise market on 102.7 has caused a chain reaction of moves in the market.
KPHD has signed-on in its new home of Melba, ID with new KZMG call letters in tow. Boise On-Air reports the station has debuted as Hot AC “My 102.7” running commercial free through the end of the year.
KZMG will also get a new owner as JLD Media has agreed to sell the station to FM Idaho for $800,000 and two used Harris HT25CD FM transmitters. In order to fit KZMG into its cluster, FM Idaho will sell News/Talk 99.1 KINF Gooding to Lee Family Broadcasting for $300,000.
In October KINF and sister 100.7 KPDA applied to swap facilities, which was followed up with a call letter swap to keep the existing programming on their previous signals. That swap, which was approved and completed last week set the stage for what will now see the 99.1 KINF facility depart the Boise market.
Lee Family Broadcasting will shift the focus of the station to Twin Falls, where the station has applied to downgrade from a Class C to C1 where it will operate with 35kW at 232 meters.
Following the sales, FM Idaho will operate Sports “ESPN Boise” 730 KNFL, Variety Hits “96.1 Bob-FM” KSRV, Regional Mexican “100.7 La Podersoa” KPDA, Rhythmic CHR “Wild 101.1” KWYD, and KZMG in the Boise market. KINF will join a Lee Family Twin Falls cluster of Spanish Adult Hits “Juan 970” KFTA, News/Talk 1230 KBAR, Classic Country 1400 KART, Hot AC “Hot 100” 99.9 KZDX, Sports “103.1 The Zone” KZNO, and Country “Kat Country 106” KKMV.December 17, 2013 at 8:19 am #1236westernelectricParticipant
Wendover, Utah and Jackpot, Nevada are casino towns“
A casino town… in Utah?
*scratches head*December 17, 2013 at 5:11 pm #1237msndrspdxParticipant
The biggest casino there lies on the state line. The casino is on the Nevada side, the hotel is on the Utah side, and the two halves are connected by an enclosed sky bridge that runs over the I-80 Business Route, which is the main street there. The state line is painted on the road surface beneath the sky bridge.

KPDA “La Poderosa” currently airs El Vacilon del Mandril in mornings. How would the new station, “La Perrona 99.1”, accomplish that. This is confusing.December 18, 2013 at 6:27 am #1240
KPDA “La Poderosa” is on 100.7 and stays with Impact in Boise.
KINF on 99.1 will move to a Jerome transmitter site and become “La Perrona 99.1”.December 18, 2013 at 11:38 am #1241NWoutdoorsParticipant

Even if it moves to Jerome, won’t they have overlaping coverage patterns?December 18, 2013 at 10:52 pm #1243
Who’s overlapping with who?
If you’re talking about 99.1 Gooding (Jerome transmitter) and 100.7 Mtn Home, different owners so they can do whatever they want.December 19, 2013 at 1:53 am #1244paulwalkerParticipant
Just to be clear about Wendover, NV. There are a few motels on the Wendover, UT side, the best being the Best Western, formerly, the Days Inn.
However, there are no casino hotels that cross the border. Atleast not today, can’t vouch for decades before.
The closest casino in West Wendover to Utah is Montego Bay. They are actually located ON the state line. Their clientele is mostly Utah, but get some California business as well. There are several other casinos in West Wendover, but a number of them are jointly owned. They observe Mountain Time, a rarity in Nevada, as most of their business is from Utah.
