ParticipantSeems like the only way to put a city grade signal into Arlington proper is with a site on the Washington side of the river directly across from Arlington. Can’t see into that little canyon otherwise, can you? Unless you locate right in Arlington…and what’s the point of that?

Tony Tecate To Mornings At Wild 101 In Boise
IMPACT RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic KWYD (WiLD 101)/BOISE ups APD/MD/afternoons TONY TECATE to mornings. TECATE will retain his APD/MD title and duties. TECATE steps up to succeed former morning host RICK MOORTEN, who exits the station for similar duties at LOCAL MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic XHTZ (JAMMIN’ Z90)/SAN DIEGO (NET NEWS 7/16).
KWYD PD MARK FEATHER tells ALL ACCESS, “After examining our options, it became clear pretty quickly that moving TONY from PM Drive to AM Drive on WILD 101 was likely the biggest ‘no brainer’ of my entire career. He’s passionate, a tireless worker, and easily one of the most creative people I’ve ever had the privilege to be around. TONY killed for us first at night, and then won PM Drive in his first book in that daypart. I have no reason to think that he won’t maintain and build upon our current momentum in mornings, as well.”
TECATE will team with current morning co-host EDINA MACIC beginning MONDAY (7/29).

ParticipantIsn’t Boise part of western Idaho?
October 3, 2013 at 12:50 am #1227Craig_Adams
ParticipantEastern Oregon towns such as Ontario, Nyssa, Vale, Huntington, Jordan Valley & Adrian are influenced heavily by the bigger Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Payette & Weiser, Idaho stations which reach far into Oregon territory.
October 3, 2013 at 1:11 am #1228paulwalker
ParticipantTrue. Eastern Oregon towns like Ontario are in the mountain time zone. They receive Boise TV stations, and for the most part are in earshot of Boise radio stations. Eastern Oregon and far Eastern Nevada are the only Pacific time zone States that have parts that are on mountain time.
However, the reasons are different. Ontario is considered part of the Boise metro, unofficially. Wendover, Utah and Jackpot, Nevada are casino towns, and prefer to operate on the time that most of their consumers observe, which is mountain. It can be confusing, but just look to where the consumers are from and you can guess, with some accuracy, the time zone that is observed. Sometimes it gets funny with check-out times at the casinos.
