Here’s what I remember…or think I remember. (It was 113 down here today for the second day in a row…so some brain cells have been fused together…)
KPPT Toledo. The Point (?) Don’t remember the format.
KSHA Medford – A country station known as Kay-Shay. (I worked in K-Falls at the time.) The only thing I recall relating to Mt. Shasta was you could see the mountain on the south horizon.
KAGM Klamath Falls. I think KAGO’s FM ran a Good Music format for a time.
KCKX Stayton. They were a Real Country affiliate for a short time…I remember cutting liners for “Kicks”…
KIJK Prineville. I think John Kendall owned the station at one time…
When I worked for Capps, I don’t remember KXIQ standing for anything other than a catchy call sign. The Country Q (Drake-Chenault’s country format), then Q-94 (playing TM’s Stereo Rock)…
