It was all good. Except for that morning out at tower 3 when my hand slipped while inside the tuning box. Yeah, and the time I had to tie RF/tower earth ground to studio ground to get rid of the hum swamping out the new studios … I mean really, I wasn’t expecting a four inch arc between two grounds … or the night of the very first official KVAN 1480 all night show when I finally had indoor plumbing but no toilet paper. Howard showed up around 7 AM with TP in hand. I was working in the production studio, still finishing wiring up some gear. Les Friedman had been on the air since I finished my show at 6 AM. Fortunately neither of us had needed the TP, yet.
