  1. This from All Access:

----------------------------------Mick Lee's Replacement At KKRZ: Is It You?----------------------------------

So, you wanna be the new APD/afternoon dude/dudette at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/KKRZ (Z100)/PORTLAND, replacing MICK LEE who's the new PD at sister Top 40 WZFT (Z104.3)/BALTIMORE (NET NEWS 3.03), do ya?

Well, CLEAR CHANNEL/PORTLAND OM and KKRZ PD TOMMY AUSTIN told ALL ACCESS, "I'm looking for someone who can be phenomenal both on and off-air. Your on-air work must be exciting and relevant to the 18-34 female audience, and you need to have great digital skills to interface with all the social tools we have. If you have SELECTORS skills it's a plus, but being able to play nice with all departments, is a must."

Rush the package to TOMMY at TommyAustin@ClearChannel.com for this EOE post. He promises to followup with all who apply, following review of materials.

  2. Seems that the radio portion of the required duties are arbitrary. Can you determine exciting and relevant to 18-34 fems in a couple minutes of generic demo audio?

Great digital skills reads like, if you facebook/you tube/twitter/blog you go to the front of the line. The "extras" are now the meat and potatoes.

Selector? hell we'll teach you that, but come in tweetin' with a maxed out you face page.

Are you a fan of Fro yo? The Sun? Smiles?

Play nice with all departments? Does that street run both ways? You won't know if the new hire does until you get them in there. then it's too late.

    So the job app is:

MONSTER OPPORTUNITY to join a major market station and be a part of the largest broadcast company in the country.

Do you devour Glamour, Cosmo, People, and US? Do you really know if wedges work better with slim pants or wide legs? Do stiletto Knee boots make "her" look too trampy? Can you tell a fashion do from a fashion don't? Should Brad and Angelena? Is your blog riled up over the last A-I cut? Do you tweet your special lunch spot with to die for Bruschetta to all you friends?

Can you share it in 20 second or less audio blurbs just ahead of another hot hit?
If so come talk to us. No radio experience necessary. Bring the above and your personality to our environment and we'll show you the rest.

Meanwhile the ART of RADIO itself takes a backseat to the whiz-bang of periphreal technologies...................
