  1. Univision announced that it will be broadcasting in HD this december. However, Univision is still in analog in the portland area, only the La Grande station is digital. Anyone know when Univision is planing on going digital?

    *sigh*
Are they actually going to be transmitting their ATSC signal *in* HD--currently defined as 1920*1080 pels in a 16*9 window--or in a standard-def 640*480, 4*3 window?

Remember, not all ATSC programmes are transmitted using a higher-definition format, despite that there are people who will (sometimes quite literally) go blue telling you they are. See the KORS-CA (16) or KNMT (45) mults for a good example.

That said, it's December already; which channel will it be on (or is it on)?

Think about it. Has a CP been issued?

You don't need to work for Fisher to find that out. Anyone can access FCC-Info.com and find out. Many people here do that all the time.

  7. Any updates on Univision going digital any time soon, or for that matter Telemundo or Telefutura? Telemundo and Telefutura both have liscenses in place for digital channels, but they havent made the switch yet, and I can't seem to get through to WatchTV.

The update for this year is don't hold your breath. There are more important things needed to spend money on at this time, locally.
