  1. The Obama administration sure doesn't lack ideas for weakening the U.S. position in the world.

How about repeating the Clinton faux pas of the 1990's. Some people's learning curve is just a bit shallower than others.

  5. I predicted months ago that as Obama's approval ratings dropped, the tension from the liberals on this forum would grow significantly. Guess what?

The "tension from the liberals" is all in your mind, Deane. If you post hyperbolic anti-Obama crap, you're going to get a reaction, which basically makes you a troll.

Not unless you want to know what Obama is doing to weaken the country.

When Obama was running, and the posts denigrating George Bush were running hot and heavy, I posted then that I would be pointing out all of Obama's weaknesses if he were elected.

Why was it OK to post non-stop negatives about Bush, but it's not OK with Obama. Can you share the answer to that with me?

  8. Andrew, have you, by any chance, noticed the negative and hateful threads and posts about the Republican candidates for President. Or, Trixter still on the hate Bush campaign.

Now, if you will, share with me why I shouldn't point out Obama's weaknesses. Is this part of the liberal double standard?

Deane, Obama has weaknesses - so does every president including FDR and Abraham Lincoln. But "pointing out Obama's weaknesses" in an objective way isn't the same as what you do, which is post hyperbolic, partisan nonsense about him or just petty criticism. You simply don't like Obama; whether he signs a bill or vetos it, either one would be wrong in your eyes. If he signed it, you'd post a link telling us why it was wrong; if instead it turned out he actually vetoed it, you'd post a link telling us why it was wrong. Doesn't matter what he does - it's bad BECAUSE he does it.

I don't condone or defend anyone else's behavior around here, and I've defended Bush on a few occasions when I thought he was being unfairly attacked. As for the Republican presidential candidates: except for Jon Huntsman, they have all done a pretty good job of making themselves look foolish.

I am not sure that Obama's popularity has much to do with anything... the Republicans haven't managed to find a policy position that isn't anything other than "save the uber rich from any more than the paltry taxes they are now paying" (or avoiding through high priced laywers who helped write the tax code)... there is NO CHOICE ... but I will hold my nose and vote for whoever seems the lesser of the multiple evils.. it is likely that unless something dramatic happens tht lesser evil will be Obama.
