  13. Regarding the Bauer 707 in-service date at KBPS. I was Chief during the School Year 1970-1971 and that is when we fired up the Bauer. Exactly when, I cannot recall. Maybe all that RF fogged my memory?

So, 20 years or so after the fact, the FCC caught up with them or they removed the fences sometime in the interim and never put them back?

  18. Semoochie: By reading it, you know as much as I do about the entire subject. Onward to we go:

  19. Craig...I seem to recall being told that KBMS was able to get the tower fence fine reversed because the towers are on concrete bases that meet the FCC requirements for an "alternative barrier". I know the fine for not maintaining a proper main studio was upheld.

  26. Technically it was 5 frequencies: 800, 1040, 1080, 1290 & 1410.

Name the first frequency at Oaks Park (Watch out, it's a trick question.)

I'll guess 1040 was the first frequency at Oaks Park. I didn't realize KWJJ had moved to 1080 at that site. I thought they went directly to North Portland. Was this part of the national frequency switch?
