  2. Trying to figure out this schedule. One Problem, morning drive. Sam Holman had just left. Who stepped into mornings for about a two month period before Kangaroo? Was it Don Kennedy who had just returned or did Kisn move long time noon to 3, Frank Benny into mornings and Don Kennedy took over Benny's shift? Or was it Buddy Van Cleave doing mornings? And what about Jim Meeker doing mornings?

    Don Kennedy - 6 to 9am? / Buddy Van Cleave - 9 to noon / Frank Benny - noon to 3 / Jim Meeker - 3 to 7pm / Joe Light - 7 to ? / Pat Pattee - ? to 6am / Les Parsons - news / Craig Edwards - news / Bill Howlett - news.

I remember Frank Benny doing mornings but don't remember when. I don't remember anyone else on that list in mornings. I'm solid on the top 10 this time except that Trini Lopez ditty. It still sounds familiar but I'm not sure.

  4. Thanks Semoochie, that must have been the time period. I've never seen Frank Benny doing mornings on any Kisn line-up.

from Kisn Goodguy Great Jim Meeker:
Sam was there until I left in December 1965 as he was the Best Man in my wedding in December. He went to Hartford early 1966 and hired me there from KGB in San Diego. WOW! That was a long long time ago!!!

Since he is not in the picture, it could be because of..................1) He owned a radio station up in Longview and scooted out of KISN right after his morning show, or................2) He might of been on vacation? Most probably guy doing his morning show was Frank Benny.

JACK PARR (was the morning Mayor on Kisn) Early 60's

  14. The original Kisn Morning Mayor was Hal Raymond. Jack Par took over in 1962 for a few months until Bill Western. The last Morning Mayor was P.O.A. in 1963.

  16. Craig, you're right about the "Morning Mayor" sequence on KISN...however,
POA was referred to as the METRO MORNING MAYOR ...capitalizing on the
phoenetic similarity with METRO GOLDWYN MAYOR. That didn't last long,
however....because KISN had more significant promotion for POA...including
"KISN BECOMING A THING OF THE PAST."
