Does anyone know if KMHD still uses volunteer announcers, now that they are "operated by Oregon Public Broadcasting"?

Well, OPB states they're looking for volunteers... I'm not sure if they're actually using any though.

Yep, their local on-air hosts are unpaid volunteers.

There've been a few hosts switching time-slots, and a couple have had to give up their shows, because the move to the OPB studios made it too long a commute for them, but for the most part, it's all the same shows and volunteers that were in place at MHCC. The only paid announcers you'll hear are the occasional voices of the chief engineer and the station manager, on pre-recorded spots. The announcers still pick their own playlists, and run their own shows -- albeit with much better equipment!
