  3. Gotta love that passing of the excellence in bigotry and theocracy torch proper. Maybe the apple will end up rolling a bit farther from the tree over the longer term.

KEX really is a better station than that. Their loss.

That's kinda funny as he's doing the show with his son!

  5. My point exactly. Maybe the son won't take on all that his father has. Perhaps a few million LESS people will get fucked over by Dobsons.

  6. I do have one thing in common with Dobson and his son. I too worked on a radio show with my father. Started behind the mic at age 14 and haven't left it yet.

The similarities pretty much stop there.

I think the mere fact that the 2 are coming together dispels that fact.

  8. Well Broadway, efforts to organize and directly impact these, and other discriminatory programs on a local basis are building. If the son doesn't have any real sense, perhaps that all will be roped in under the "make selling this shit considerably more expensive" umbrella, dealing with it that way.

You must understand that airing the kind of material largely pioneered by Dobson, and others, is in the end, completely unacceptable.

I do believe they are free to do so. You won't hear me saying otherwise. However, we are free to assess a more realistic total "net cost" of such speech, ideally chilling it to less harmful levels.

We have no need in this world, at all, for discriminatory, shame based ideology of this kind. None.

Of course, that is my opinion. I get that. The trick is to see just how many people will come to see it more my way than not, given sufficient education and empowerment to express themselves about it.

Isn't "money as speech", and "free speech" grand? On the latter, I think so. On the former, that decision will go down as an epic fail in the history of our grand American experiment.

Guess your interpretation of moral depravity/sin is different than mine.
