  1. Can't be happier to announce that my buddy Brad Dolbeer will start on KINK weeknights, beginning tomorrow. Brad will also host the "Light Out" program and the "Sunday Acoustic Kink" on Sunday mornings.

  3. Dean K has been filling in on the show while KINK sought a permanent host. He will continue to host "The Gamut" & "The KINK Local Music Spotlight", plus "Tranceformation" on Saturday nights. Dean will also continue as KINK Assistant P.D. & Music Director and will now be working in audio & video for KINK web streaming. He'll also be doing fill-ins on the air and continuing with production work on the Kink Live Performance Lounge sessions.

Sean Marten was on KINK weeknights for years and was moved to afternoons when Les Sarnoff first took ill late last year. So all this movement comes from Les passing.

-------------------------------------Dolbeer Named Evening Host At KINK-------------------------------------

    October 26, 2009 at 1:55 PM (PT)

ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A KINK/PORTLAND, OR PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE has announced BRAD DOLBEER as the new permanent host of the evening shift, including the long-running "Lights Out" program. DOLBEER is a PORTLAND area native and 30-year radio veteran.

CONSTANTINE said, "BRAD grew up in PORTLAND; he is PORTLAND. It’s only appropriate that he comes home to the station that reflects what PORTLAND is all about. I’m thrilled to have BRAD as part of our KINK team. He adds a depth to our staff, on and off-the-air."

DOLBEER replaces longtime night DJ SEAN MARTEN, who moved to afternoons when LES SARNOFF first took ill late last year. After SARNOFF’S passing, MARTEN remained in afternoons and station APD/MD DEAN KATTARI filled in for nights. KATTARI will continue to host "The Gamut" and "The KINK Local Music Spotlight" heard weeknights as well as "Tranceformation," KINK’s trance, trip-hop and chill show heard on Saturday nights.

"There is not a better station on the planet in my estimation," said DOLBEER. "To be given the opportunity to be the evening DJ at KINK is a lifelong dream for me. I grew up listening to KINK and my favorite shift was the evening shift [then] with Les Sarnoff. Les was my inspiration and I feel honored to be carrying the torch here at KINK."

The article also features a great picture of Brad with the caption "Night Owl". You can tune in the Night Owl right now on KINK!
