Boss radio strikes again

(8 posts)

  1. Just when you think you have settled down for a long winter nap: From the stormy darkness of winter comes this gem from the "beautiful Oregon Coast". Rumor has it that the morning guy and one of the sales people from KPPT tossed their keys on the "Boss of the Boss's" desk and walked-out. Of course, this has happened many times before at this particular radio station. Good job guys! Unfortunately, with the crappy economy, and the fact that most of the poor radio alums who end up working at the Boss are at the end of the line. They most likely will come crawling back with hats in hand. How many times will this inhumane scenario be re-enacted before somebody in charge at that station decides to check themselves-in and get the care they need?
    Just sayin.

  2. C'mon. Don't be fuzzy. We're not soothsayers. What's the station and who did what to whom?

  4. Sorry. My condolences to the dead and the wounded. And all because of 17,500 watts?

  8. Well, word has it that the last man standing from the air staff has walked out the door of Boss Radio in Newport. Long time broadcaster Bob King turned-in his letter of resignation on Christmas day. As of this writing boss radio is apparently being run by the traffic director and the self proclaimed "Boss of The Boss"(and it sounds like it) . A couple weeks ago, Morning man Pat O'Leary and a senior sales person walked. God bless all of them. If they come knocking on your door, you will do well to hire them because they have been through radio experience that would qualify them for the Navy seals. The only question now is, to quote an old song title: "who will the next fool be?"
