Is there an echo in here?

    Oh, wait, it's print-through......

(Dammit Stoneman, how many times have they told you not to store the carts next to the monitor speaker? ;o)

  3. Wonder how many CC stations are still liberal talk, although if they had done this during the election, it would have really gotten some press. Wonder how far back in time this was decided.

    Fox Sports AM 620:

    This from Willamette Week:

    KPOJ Cancelling Political Talk Radio
UPDATED: Fox Sports Radio 620 launches tonight

Here's what North America is reading from All Access:

-----------------------------KPOJ/Portland Drops Progressive Talk, Flips To Sports-----------------------------

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KPOJ-A/PORTLAND will drop its progressive Talk format TODAY at 5:30p (PT) to flip to Sports as "FOX SPORTS RADIO 620." The station will carry PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS NBA basketball (from sister Talk KEX-A) and OREGON STATE BEAVERS athletics and the FOX SPORTS RADIO lineup, plus the local "BEAVER NATION LIVE" with SCOTT LYNN.

“We’re excited about providing the community with quality Sports Programming that highlights our new relationships with OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY and the PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS,” said President and Maret Manager ROBERT DOVE. “Welcoming the FOX SPORTS (RADIO) Network will set the standard of excellence for sports programming in PORTLAND and I know it will resonate well with our listeners.”

On his FACEBOOK page, KPOJ morning host CARL WOLFSON posted, "To my friends -- CLEAR CHANNEL informed me this morning that they are moving in a new direction with KPOJ, beginning on MONDAY. I appreciate the opportunity they gave me for six years to be a voice for progressive causes in our state and nation. I will miss all of my fun friends at work (my excellent producer PAUL, remains employed!). I love all of you, my loyal listeners. It has been my honor to give a platform to all of the outstanding groups, volunteers, elected officials and good people who make OREGON so special."

THREE sports stations in Portland? Sounds like overkill to me! And what's Portland-based Thom Hartmann gonna do? He just lost his local audience! And the timing of this smells something rotten...

    Best, M.
